I quit my day job!

Hey everyone!!

I can’t believe I’m writing this blog post. For the past 5 years I’ve always wondered what I’d say in a post like this, if I actually ever took the plunge and worked on Sioux Alice full time. I didn’t know if it would ever be possible, but look at me now! Haha!

For those of you that don’t know, I had such a difficult time last year, losing my grandma and Giuseppe and I had a really hard time coping. I’ve always struggled with a work/life balance, mainly because I’m a bit of a work-a-holic when it comes to my business and I was getting so down that I didn’t have the time I wanted to do everything. Giuseppe was very ill for 6 months (you can read more about it here) so Sioux Alice was really on the back-burner whilst I took care of him. Unfortunately my baby boy passed away in October, I still find it so hard to talk about but I do plan on doing another post about him when I’m ready.

Last year was the worst year of my life and I just wanted a fresh start for this year. Sioux Alice continued to do well throughout the year, even though I wasn’t putting much effort in at all and I started to realise what it could become if I really do put all my efforts into it. I started to save up a bit of money and at the start of December, I handed my notice in at my job. The relief I felt!

I can’t tell you how good it feels to finally be pursuing something I love.

Sioux Alice turned 5 on the 14th January (hence the picture of my with the huge 5 ballon) and I figured it was time to change things up a little in the coming months so be sure to keep your eyes peeled! Eeeek!

Thanks so much to everyone for your continued support, you really have made all my dreams come true!
